About Us
The college was started in the name “Vani Vilasa Sahakara Sakkare Karkane Kala & Vanijjya Prtama Darje College” on 20/08/1980 for BA course, B.COM course in 1982 at the factory premises. Sri.M. Veerapamoile the then the Minister for Finance and G.B. Shankar Rao then the Minister for Higher Education extended their hands to establish the college. Sri P.T. Eshwarappa Who was the then chairman of All India Sugar Federation was the first president of the college; Mr. D. Manjunath was the first secretary of this institution who is ex-higher education minister.

The college was admitted to grant-in-aid in the year 1986. On 12.07.2005 the college has been taken over to Government and its name changed as VANI SAKKARE GOVERNMENT FIRST GRADE COLLEGE. The BBM Course has been introduced in the academic year 2011-12. The college has been extended with all the facilities. The strength has increased from the starting 52 to 1473 students. Government Colleges are the unique opportunity to them. Hence the Vani Sakkare Government First Grade College has been serving the real public interest and Social Justice.

The Library of this college is having 31109 Printed Books 16 Printed Journas and Magazines and other useful resources with wide variety of collections, we offer best services to the user community on campus. We are offering Off campus service round the clock with this innovative and user friendly protal called "WEB PORTAL", this is serving as one stop solution for students as wel as faculties of the college, we have best practices like "Vidhyarthi Mitra & Pariksha Mitra"through this portal.
